Jason Castro -- He made a great choice of the Lovin Spoonful gem "Daydream," a tune that can't help but put a smile on your face. As the only guy who played an instrument (in this case, an acoustic guitar), Castro stood out even more. He had loads of personality and charm, a real entertainer.

Michael Johns -- having been in a band signed to Madonna's Maverick label, Johns definitely seems like the male who had the biggest previous break. He covered "Light My Fire" by the Doors, AGAIN. Great stage presence but didn't really rock it out when he could have.

Bobby Carrico -- the rocker sang "One" made famous by Three Dog Night.Decent job.

David Cook -- Good job! he sang "Happy Together" by the Turtles and again, they started it slow and then...speeded it up to the song's standard tempo. he was pretty good and moved around well.

David Archuleta --. Already a serious front runner for the finale, Archuleta looked smooth and confident and YET also boyish and to Amanda slightly creepy. He seems like a 36 year old trapped in a 12 year old body.

Everyone else ... good singers but pretty forgettable.

KINGS ISLAND, Ohio – Kings Island will host auditions in search of experienced contemporary country singers and trained, talented and versatile dancers, characters, character cohorts, musicians, technicians and costumers for the 2008 entertainment season at the park. The auditions will be held at Kings Island in the International Restaurant Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17.

Auditions and interviews for singers, technicians, characters, costumers and musicians are from 10:00am to 2:00pm each day. Applicants will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Dancer registration is from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A dance combination will be taught at 2:00pm.

Interested performers should prepare the following:

Singers: Bring sheet music or CD accompaniment for two contemporary country songs. One should be up-tempo, the second a ballad. A piano accompanist will be provided for those with sheet music. Singers may be asked to read a brief monologue and to dance, so they should bring appropriate clothes and shoes for movement. Singers need to bring a current photo and a one-page resume.

Dancers: Kings Island is looking for energetic, technically trained dancers experienced in jazz, ballet, hip-hop and acrobatics. NEW YORK (AP) - The masseuse who discovered Heath Ledger's body spent nine minutes making three calls to Mary-Kate Olsen before she dialed 911 for help, police said Thursday. She called "Full House" actress a fourth time after paramedics arrived.
The details about the calls do not have any significant bearing on the investigation because authorities believe Ledger had been dead and have ruled out foul play. But they paint a more precise picture of the bizarre series of events surrounding the Australian-born actor's final moments.

Police originally said the woman made two calls to Olsen seeking her help about what to do, but revised it to four after taking a closer look at phone records. The masseuse, Diana Wolozin, apparently knew both Ledger and Olsen and knew that they were friends.

NEW YORK (AP)—Funeral arrangements for Heath Ledger have been completed and his relatives were expected to arrive in New York on Friday, a funeral home spokesman said.

George Amado, the general manager of the Frank E. Campbell funeral home, refused to disclose further details, saying any additional information would have to come from Ledger's manager.

"The family doesn't want us to give out any information," he said Thursday.

The 28-year-old actor's body was taken to the funeral home on Manhattan's Upper East Side on Wednesday, a day after he was found dead in his SoHo loft with bottles of prescription drugs nearby.

An autopsy Wednesday was inconclusive and further test results weren't expected for several days, medical examiner's office spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said. Police have said the Australian-born actor's death may have been caused by a drug overdose and appeared to be accidental.

Ledger's housekeeper and a massage therapist found the "Brokeback Mountain" star dead Tuesday, lying naked and face-down on his bed. Police said no illegal drugs were found in the apartment.

There were six different types of prescription drugs in the apartment, including pills to treat insomnia and anxiety, and an antihistamine, according to two law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. The officials said three of the drugs were prescribed in Europe. Ledger had recently been filming in London.

On Thursday, the makeshift memorial outside Ledger's apartment building had grown to more than 100 bouquets including tulips, daisies, carnations and tropical flowers, along with candles, signs, notes and other memorials. Some of Ledger's friends and relatives said they were baffled by the actor's death because he had appeared to be happy and healthy in the last months of his life.

Haydn Ledger, one of his uncles, said his nephew wouldn't have done anything rash. "It just wouldn't come into the equation at all," he said Thursday in an interview on CBS' "The Early Show."

He and Mike Ledger, another of the actor's uncles, deflected a question about whether their nephew had been depressed, saying that should be left to his parents to address.

Ledger told The New York Times in November that working on the films "The Dark Knight"—his last finished performance—and "I'm Not There" had been stressful, and that he had taken the insomnia medication Ambien to help with sleeplessness.

Police said a housekeeper went into his bedroom to change a light bulb Tuesday and saw him sleeping and heard him snoring around 1 p.m.

"I didn't think anything was wrong," the housekeeper, Teresa Solomon, told the New York Post. She said she was "still shaking" and unable to sleep a day after the actor's death.

At 2:45 p.m., the massage therapist showed up for Ledger's appointment, knocked on his door and got no answer. She later noticed Ledger was unconscious and called actress Mary-Kate Olsen, whose number was programmed into Ledger's cell phone, to seek advice, police said.

Olsen said she would send over her private security. In the ensuing moments, the massage therapist realized that Ledger might be dead, called Olsen again, and then called 911. Paramedics—and Olsen's security people—arrived minutes later.

Before moving to Manhattan, Ledger lived with then-girlfriend Michelle Williams—who played his wife in "Brokeback"—in Brooklyn, and the couple had a daughter, the now 2-year-old Matilda. The couple split last year.

Williams and Matilda returned to their Brooklyn home Wednesday evening from Trollhattan, Sweden. The 27-year-old actress had been there shooting scenes for the upcoming film "Mammoth," said Martin Stromberg, a spokesman for film production company Memfis Film.

Dallas police are investigating whether two off-duty officers were involved in an assault early on Thursday, Dec. 27, against singer Steve Holy.

In a prepared statement, police spokesman Lt. Vernon Hale said, “It appears that two unidentified Dallas police officers met the complainant at an off-duty social event and later went to the residence of the complainant. At some point, witnesses state that one of the men assaulted one of the hosts" at the home.

Lt. Hale offered little further information about the incident, but a 911 call record shows officers were dispatched about 5:30 a.m. to the Old East Dallas home that belonged to the singer. Through an attorney late Thursday, Steve said he and a friend were assaulted and gave his own account of what happened at the residence.

The Dallas Morning News reports that according to the account Steve said he gave to police, he was home for the holidays from his tour and went out Wednesday night with a friend to a bar near his home.

Once there, they ran into an off-duty Dallas police officer whom Steve had met before. That officer introduced them to two other officers, and the five of them began drinking together. When the bars closed, Steve invited the group back to his home to play foosball in his garage. Shortly after they arrived, the officer he had met before left. The other two officers remained. About 5 a.m., according to Steve’s account, one of the officers became belligerent, challenging Steve about his identity as the country singer. Steve showed them his picture on his album, but the officer still wasn't satisfied.

"Do you know who you're [expletive] with, you're [expletive] with a Dallas police officer," Steve told investigators the man yelled at him. He said the officers showed their badges.

The officer yelled to the second officer to bring him his gun from the car, according to the account, and soon the officers were holding Steve and his friend at gunpoint. Steve told police one of the officers held a gun to the back of his head while he lay face down on the kitchen floor. At one point, he went upstairs, telling the officers he would get his identification, he said, and told his wife, who had been sleeping in a bedroom, to call 911. Meanwhile, his friend escaped to the home of a neighbor, who called 911. The off-duty officers left before police arrived. According to Steve’s account, they threatened him with retaliation should he tell anyone what happened.

Lt. Hale said Thursday that it was unclear who the two officers were. At least one witness indicated they were officers Randy Anderson and Paul Loughridge, Lt. Hale said. Both were placed on administrative leave Thursday.

"The Dallas police public integrity unit will investigate the possible criminal allegations," his statement said, "and Internal Affairs will investigate the administrative portion if these in fact were officers."

A recent roster indicates that Officer Anderson, 25, and Officer Loughridge, 48, have been with the department since 2005.

"There have been no charges or arrests at this time," Lt. Hale said. "Detectives will continue to investigate the incident and take appropriate action."

Kiefer Sutherland was finally booked last night in connection with his DUI conviction this past summer. He is officially an inmate at the Glendale City Jail. . He will wear a standard issue orange jumpsuit.

He was scheduled to turn himself in on December 21, which happens to be his birthday. The plan was to serve when the show was on Christmas hiatus. But because of the writers strike and the fact that the show is on ice, Kiefer checked in earlier. He'll spend his birthday, Christmas and New Years in the slammer.
