Marsha Garces Williams filed a petition for dissolution of marriage on March 21 in San Francisco Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. The two met when Garces Williams worked as a nanny for Williams' son Zachary, whom he had with his previous wife, Valerie Valardi.

Patrick Dempsey taking up the cancer cause!

Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey was in his home state of Maine Monday to announce the opening of a new center to benefit cancer patients at Central Maine Medical Center. The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is slated to open March 31 and will provide education and support programs for cancer patients and their families. Dempsey put up a seed grant for the center, which he created in honor of his mother, Amanda, who was successfully treated for ovarian cancer at the hospital and is now in remission.

Actor Billy Crystal signs with the Yankees!

Billy Crystal will get to "look mahvelous" in pinstripes. The actor will sign a one-day, minor league contract with the New York Yankees and play in Thursday's exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Crystal, an avid Yankees fan, will work out with the team on Wednesday and will wear uniform No. 60 for the game -- to be played one day before his 60th birthday. The Yankees said Monday they have the approval of baseball commissioner Bud Selig.
"I've been waiting 50 years for this call," says Crystal.

Recap of the top 12 guys on American Idol

These guys were hot:

Jason Castro -- He made a great choice of the Lovin Spoonful gem "Daydream," a tune that can't help but put a smile on your face. As the only guy who played an instrument (in this case, an acoustic guitar), Castro stood out even more. He had loads of personality and charm, a real entertainer.

Michael Johns -- having been in a band signed to Madonna's Maverick label, Johns definitely seems like the male who had the biggest previous break. He covered "Light My Fire" by the Doors, AGAIN. Great stage presence but didn't really rock it out when he could have.

Bobby Carrico -- the rocker sang "One" made famous by Three Dog Night.Decent job.

David Cook -- Good job! he sang "Happy Together" by the Turtles and again, they started it slow and then...speeded it up to the song's standard tempo. he was pretty good and moved around well.

David Archuleta --. Already a serious front runner for the finale, Archuleta looked smooth and confident and YET also boyish and to Amanda slightly creepy. He seems like a 36 year old trapped in a 12 year old body.

Everyone else ... good singers but pretty forgettable.

Scandal backstage at American Idol!

There's a big stink backstage on American Idol and it surrounds irish Rocker contestant - Carly Smithson who was heavily featured during Hollywood Week.

She was once a signed recording artist with MCA Records (when Randy Jackson was the prez),leading some "Idol" fans to speculate about the fairness of the competition.

"This is something that comes up for some reason every year: 'Oh, they're all professionals," says producer Nygil Lythgoe said of the controversy.

"From year one, all we say is you have to be [currently] out of contract.
Carly isn't breaking any rules and nobody ever said this is an amateur competition."

Casting call for Dora The Explorer!!!

Nickelodeon has noticed the success of Hannah Montana on the big screen and High School Musical on the TV and has decided to do the same for Dora the Explorer. Dora's being turned into a live-action TV movie. Sources say Nickelodeon will hold a national casting call for the project.
